Starting Out in 2020

Social distancing, remote learning, virtual graduation shows, projects cancelled and postponed, and a drought of job offers… 2020 is a challenging year to start a career in design. This chatroom will discuss how the COVID-19 pandemic has affected graduating students as of late — financially, emotionally, and physically. In what ways have plans changed, and what’s been necessary in order to adapt? How have practices and understandings of design transformed? And in light of all the changes, what’s in store for the months ahead?
