Here: Goût du jour → While active in the international fashion business, Lilla Wicki also pursues her own research, engaging with archives of fabrics made in Switzerland, reflecting the country's long history of textile design. In 2019 she collaborated with Mode Suisse and the Zurich Silk Association on the capsule collection Les archives au goût du jour, available at the Landesmuseum in Zurich. For this project, at the crossroads of research, fashion and mediation, Wicki designed a series of t-shirts including original swatches from the archive of the textile factory Gessner in Wädenswil. Thus each t-shirt, all made of organic cotton, becomes a unique piece, bringing to light the historical craftmanship.
